A couple of years ago I wrote a simple script for debian based linux operating systems that would make a fully transparrent shell. This was purely just for eye candy. But here I am 3 years later still using this simple script for nice looking shells. This script uses Eterm for the back end to make all this happen.

feel free to download this program and use it as you wish.

here is a screen shot of what your screen can look like with my trans utility. This is is not a screen shot of my personnel desktop, but trans can do the same thing.

download here

or a quicker way to install and run is

1. Downlaod “wget carmanbabin.com/Files/trans”
2. Give permission “sudo chmod u+x trans”
3. install “sudo ./trans install”
4. and run! “trans -t grey &”

and for help just type in “trans” and it will show you all the possible arguments.
